Afternoon all, having a quick sit down before heading off out again.  This morning we took our aunt out for breakie and a look round the shops.  She's housebound and we like to take her out at least once a week to get her some fresh air and change of scenery.  It is horrid, cold and blowy today though so she didn't enjoy it as much as usual.  I am thinking I may have to make her a blanket to cover her when she's in the wheelchair to keep her warm in the winter months.

Last night I had a play with my new stamp sets and here is a card I made with one of them:
I love the bird, he is so gorgeous and sits very well on this tree stamp, switched sideways to make a branch instead.  I am loving my new punches too, the oval and scallop oval, which makes mounting sentiments so much easier (and prettier too, I think).

Well, as much as I would love to be making more cards this afternoon, we are off out again in a while to meet with friends down the beach, although looking out the window, I am thinking, hmmmm, might get a bit blown away lol  We are hardy home educators though, out in all weathers and dash it all, we can always come home, dry off and warm ourselves up by the radiator :D

So, off I go, have a good rest of the day everyone and I will speak to you soon,

Afternoon all, hope you're all having a fab day wherever you are :)  I have been busy sewing purses (still) and playing with my new stamp sets (pictures to follow tomorrow) while watching movies.  I am going through a Johnny Depp phase, yesterday I watched Cry Baby, a movie I haven't seen for absolute years and its still good.  Today I am watching Ed Wood, which I haven't quite made up my mind about, but its got Johnny in it, which goes a long way lol, and scarily he looks quite good as a woman too.

So I am hoping to get the majority of the purses finished today, so I can get on and make some cards with my new things tomorrow.  Here is a picture of finished products so far:

If you see one that you like, please feel free to message me for more info.

Right, I am off now to finish more purses...

Hi there, rubbish weather out there today, so the perfect day to wait in for my parcel :)  But the tracking page isn't working at the moment, so I'm not even sure if it made it on the van today >.<

So, until the box of goodies arrives, I am wiling the time away sewing some purses together ready for sale:
Heck, the photo makes it look like it is darker than it is, don't know what I'd do without my daylight lamp to help my poor eyesight on gloomy days like this.  I hope the parcel comes soon, I've run out of coffee and I need my coffee :D

Right, off I go to do more stitching and catch up on Corrie and Emmerdale from last night, have a good day all :)

Morning lovely people :)  I'm sat here (not so) patiently waiting for my Stampin' Up! shipment to arrive, and hoping that it comes before we have to leave at midday to get to Guildford.  Fingers are tightly crossed.  I can't wait for the lovely new stamps to be within my grasp and will certainly be dedicating this evening to having a play with them, and making a few cards.  This time around I ordered a few punches too, including their scallop edge punch, which I have been coveting for a while now.  I mistakenly bought one that wasn't Stampin' Up! and it wouldn't even punch through card!  Which I thought was rather rubbish, but SU punches aren't like that, they are rather good.

I am telling myself that refreshing the tracking page on the UPS website will not make it come any sooner, but who am I kidding?!

Here is an example of current SU products:
I love these gingerbread men, they are quite gorgeous, and the fab thing is, the stamp set they are from, Scentsational Season, has a corresponding Framelit set, Holiday Collection.  So no fiddly cutting around the stamped images :)  And, if both are bought together you save 15% of the total cost.  These can be found in SU's Autumn/Winter Catalogue, along with lots of other yummy goodies :)  Feel free to email me if you get an overwhelming urge to order something :D

Right, I'm off to get the boy up and ready to go, so will speak to you very soon

*whispers* hello, anyone out there?

Hi there, long time no see.  Facebook is being a major pita as regards to business pages, so I am going to dust off the blog and get going with the blogging again, in the hope that business will pick up again. I have expanded into making cards and selling Stampin' Up! products, so there will be the occasional post about that too, as I would like to somehow marry the two blogs together rather than have two on the go, especially where I am a bit rubbish at posting on a regular basis :D  So please feel free to pop along to my facebook page and catch up with what I have been up to recently, and possibly like or comment to help my posts reach a wider audience *cheeky grin*

I will be back, hopefully tomorrow, as I am expecting a delivery from Stampin' Up! which I am rather looking forward to.  Got my fingers crossed it comes in the morning as I am off to Guildford after lunch, but knowing my luck, it won't come til I'm out, but hey ho, will have to be even more patient and wait til Tuesday I guess.

Have a good rest of the day.

another cot quilt

hello there, been a busy one this week with making things.  Thought I would show off this cot quilt though because I am particularly fond of it:

It is now on its way to its new owner, well, nearly, as it is to be a Christmas pressie for a new baby :-) There is enough fabric to make one more, so if you are interested in this, or anything else, then please message me.  I look forward to hearing from you.

Finished quilt

After a few busy days, I managed this morning to get down to a bit of sewing and finished the cot quilt.  Its backed with a red fleece fabric so will be warm and snuggly for the winter months ahead :-)

Now on to the blue themed quilt.  Maybe I should stop for breakfast first though....
